Pretty Pictures

One thing that has always amazed me is the amazing environment that surrounds us each and everyday. Years and years ago I was able to buy my first film camera after working for a family for a couple weeks constructing a rock climbing wall in their backyard, the wall we built was state of the art for the time, equipped with self belayers, and a slew of angles. After completing the project I decided to use the money and buy a camera to start recording my many rock climbing and travel adventures, it was a goal of mine to someday be an actual working professional photographer. The only training I received was through trial and error, stacks of wasted film, my journals of field notes and my dreams and goals, was my education. Some of the first images I ever made with that camera were landscapes of Red Rock Canyon, from those first clicks of the shutter I was hooked. Fast forward years later and I’m still hooked on creating landscapes and finally I’m becoming proud of the work we’re creating. Below is one of my all time favorites that we recently captured in Death Valley, we are calling it “Solitude”.
